The report outlined below helps to bring groups together to make a more concerted approach.

Refugee Girls’ Education Workshop Report

From 04 to 06 July 2012, the UNHCR Regional Support Hub organized a workshop on the promotion of girls’ education in East Africa and the Horn of Africa (HoA) region in collaboration with the UNICEF Regional Office for Eastern and Southern Africa (ESARO).  The workshop brought together over 40 refugee, government, UN and partners education practitioners and  actors from Kenya, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Uganda to reflect and strategize on how, together, they can close the gender gaps in refugee education.
